Five generations of history in fine jewellery manufacturing
At Pala Diamonds, our story is one of heritage and generational expertise. Our journey began with Harjivan Madhavji Pala., born in 1832 in Jamangar, India. Turning 16, he entered the trade of gold refining and jewellery making where his handmade 22-24ct gold jewellery earned him a reputation amongst discerning clientele during the years of British Raj. His son, Madhavji, followed in his father’s footsteps in India and later took his trade to Kenya in the 1950s, then to London in 1966. Over the following 30 years, Madhavji’s children and grandchildren continued to grow their business under the name P.M. Pala, building a reputation in East London and the historic Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. In 2010, the family business was reinvented as Pala Diamond Co. to meet the increasing demand for fine diamonds. To this day, we take pride in our history and deliver a product that suits our heritage.
